    EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE COORDINATOR

    Bargaining Unit: NON-UNION
    Status: Full Time
    Department: Human Resources
    Site: St. Joseph's Hospital
    Location: Thunder Bay, ON
    Shifts: Days
    Annual Salary: $67,107 - $83,879


    Reporting to the Manager - Employee Experience, the Coordinator - Employee Experience is responsible for helping to build and maintain a positive workplace culture through continuous improvement of the Human Resources (HR) administrative functions and engaging employee experiences. This is done through researching, planning, and executing effective strategies and programs that will lead to enhanced retention and onboarding efforts, employee engagement and experience, and organizational effectiveness. The Coordinator will also be responsible for providing support to the HR team in various recruitment and retention functions.

    Qualifications:

    Education/Experience:

    - Degree or diploma in business administration, commerce or other related field with specialization in human resources
    - Minimum three years' experience in human resources, preferably in a large and complex human resources environment, including demonstrated recruitment and workforce planning experience
    - Demonstrated experience in leading employee engagement strategies and initiatives

    Skills/Abilities:

    - Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing, including the ability to develop and deliver presentations to a variety of audiences
    - Ability to listen actively to employee feedback and take necessary steps to enhance the employee experience
    - Ability to facilitate meetings or events with groups of people using various interactive methods
    - Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, managers, applicants, external contacts, and community partners
    - Ability to work independently, interdependently, and participate in internal & external committees and/or working groups
    - Strong project/time management, analytical/critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to address, adapt, and deliver on diverse and competing priorities
    - Ability to use independent judgment and maintain confidentiality of records, actions, and information
    - Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher as well as database applications
    - Familiarity with Ontario Employment Standards, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, Human Rights Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act

    Assets:

    - HR designation an asset (i.e. CHRP, CHRL)
    - A comprehensive understanding of SJCG's philosophy and role in our community and knowledge of program, services and sites

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
  • Will be required to travel to various work locations from time to time and provide own transportation
  • May be required to attend events outside regular working hours
  • May be required to travel out of town from time to time
