    Description

    This role is responsible for performing accounting services such as accounts payable and reconciliations as well as providing support to the accounting team. This role will execute reports and interact with guests and clients on a regular basis.

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain financial records through use of Microsoft Dynamics Navision.
    • Prepare monthly and annual reports and reconciliations including GST and POS fees and allocations.
    • Analyze and reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
    • Manage accounts payable, receivables, billings, and invoice payments.
    • Rebill client and prepare client management report packages.
    • Assist accountants with posting and processing journal entries.
    • Administer the employee expense reimbursements processes.
    • Participate in internal and external audits.
    • Respond to customer inquiries, maintain good customer relations, and solve problems
    • Perform related clerical duties, such as word processing, maintaining filing and record systems, faxing and photocopying.
    • Work with accounting team on various projects as required.
    • Other duties as assigned by management.

    Job requirements:

    • Minimum of one year of experience performing:
      • General Accounting for a Canadian company.
      • Financial Accounting and Auditing activities.
    • Previous experience in the parking industry or a customer service position would be considered an asset.
    • A Certificate or higher in Accounting from the completion of courses certified by the Certified General Accountants Association of Canada, Canadian Securities Institute or Canadian Bookkeepers Association
    • Diploma or higher in accounting and/or business considered an asset.
    • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics Navision as Accounting Software is required.
    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel is a requirement.
    • The position:
      • Requires 60% of work hours to be performed at the office.
      • Allows up to 40% of work hours to be performed at home.

    Skillsets:

    • Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
    • Working knowledge of office equipment including multi-line telephones, printers, and fax machines.
    • Bilingualism (English and French) required for Quebec staff
    • Manage and maintain confidential information.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
    • Ability to work efficiently in a team.
    • Accurate and well organized with the ability to prioritize effectively.
    • Empathetic and a customer-focused mindset.
