    Job Summary:

    You are a safety-conscious Asphalt Plant Operator with at least 3 years' experience. You will be working with our Highway Construction crew throughout Alberta on various paving projects. You are a team player who ensures the well-being of others and lends a hand where needed.     Essential Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrate ability to operate Asphalt Plant safely and effectively
    • Have sufficient computer skills to operate Asphalt Plant
    • Ensure regular equipment maintenance is completed
    • Monitor operations to ensure consistent production and be responsible for completing daily checks and maintain plant logs
    • Must follow and comply with Ledcor's Health & Safety programs

    Qualifications:

    • Previous experience with support equipment associated with the Asphalt Plant, such as loaders and skid steers
    • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
    • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to provide a valid driver's abstract
    • Ability to incorporate health and safety concepts into work activities
    • Ability to work under minimal supervision
    • Mechanical inclination would be a definite asset

    Work Conditions:

    • This position is likely to run from May to November 2024
    • Candidates must be flexible to work on projects throughout Alberta
    • Shift rotation working 10-14 hours per day. Candidates must be flexible regarding their shift schedule to work nights and overtime
    • Living out allowance of $135.00 per day is provided
    • Benefits and RRSP provided
    • Preference for those with an RV or trailer, camp area with hookups provided
