    Description

    Join the Northwood team

    Northwood is currently accepting applications for a term (14 weeks) full time Organizational Health & Safety Administrator to join our team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provides administrative/clerical support to the Manger, People Services
    • Provides administrative support for members of Organizational Health and Safety Team and Occupational Health Nurses
    • Support development of a comprehensive filing system both electronically and paper format.
    • Assists in maintaining databases
    • Provides callers, visitors, and staff with appropriate greeting, information and assistance
    • Assists in creating promotional displays
    • Inputs data in databases, statistics and file management for the corporate occupational health and safety program and other projects/programs as needed
    • Conducts information/literature searches for projects/programs as needed
    • Compiles data for special projects and for generating corporate reports

    Qualifications :

    • Applicant must be entering full time post-secondary studies in the fall semester immediately following the work term OR continuing full-time post-secondary studies following the work term.
    • Applicant must be a permanent resident of the province or live in Nova Scotia for at least six months prior to the work term
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Microsoft Access & Excel required
    • Experience in OHS considered an asset
    • Experience with database systems, development of filing systems, regular maintenance of filing systems and data management considered an asset
    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Hours of Work: 80 hours bi-weekly

    Location: NorthwoodCorporate Office/Halifax as required. With travel to all sites when necessary

    Salary: As per the Northwood Scale
