    Salary:

    Ecopia Tech Corporation is an industry-leading artificial intelligence company specializing in extracting insight from geospatial big data. Our intelligent systems leverage groundbreaking advancements in machine learning to convert high-resolution imagery of our earth into HD Maps. These HD Maps support critical decision-making across various industries, including government, insurance, telecommunications, etc.

    Ecopia seeks a passionate, self-motivated candidate to fill an exciting position in a fast-paced, dynamic entrepreneurial workspace. The successful candidate will support accounting and corporate finance matters at Ecopia.

    The successful candidate will report directly to the Controller and have the incredible experience of working alongside a dynamic team with boundless growth potential. Ecopia's flexible hybrid remote working environment allows you to work from home and/or our office in the beautiful MaRS Discovery District building at 101 College Street in Toronto.     KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Weekly bank and expense reconciliation
    • Reviewing and setting up accounts payable
    • Managing prepaid expenses & deferred revenues
    • Assist in managing internal employee expense reports
    • Setting up intercompany transactions
    • Annual review engagement team support
    • Prepare monthly Federal Sales Tax Filing
    • Manage all electronic accounting documents
    • Ad hoc tasks to support the finance team

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

    • Post-secondary education in finance, accounting or a related discipline
    • 2-3 years experience in bookkeeping
    • Xero accounting experience is an asset
    • Accounts payable experience an asset
    • Provincial and federal sales tax experience an asset
    • Process-driven with strong analytical skills
    • Cloud accounting experience is an asset
    • Proficient in Excel
    • Strong attention to detail
