- Establish and monitor processes, systems, standard operating procedures, methods, and projects designed to promote best practices and production efficiency;
- Establish quality control measures and work with the Production team to document and investigate quality control issues effectively;
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and waste reduction while maintaining high standards of quality;
- Establish strong relationships with vendors and suppliers ensuring production can be optimized;
- Work collaboratively across the organization seeking feedback and establishing effective relationships with division leaders and branch managers;
- Oversee and manage production facility including people, financials, and HSE goals.
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, business, or related field/combination of education and experience;
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in process engineering, production, or manufacturing facility management; commercial building products experience preferred;
- Experience in leading the setup of manufacturing/fabrication facilities and production processes;
- Certification in continuous improvement methodologies (Kaisen, Lean Six Sigma, etc.)
- Foundational experience and knowledge with building codes and Division 8 and 10 scopes of work specifically with building openings (doors, frames, and hardware).
- Hands-on approach to problem-solving;
- Strong planning, and organizational skills;
- Critical/logical thinking and detail-oriented;
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written);
- Proven skills in leading/managing through others;
- Action orientated and willing to challenge the status quo.
