    Description

    Agilus is recruiting for a Project Manager IV in the Oil and Gas industry in a hybrid work environment in Edmonton or Calgary, Alberta.

    We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Project Manager to oversee the implementation of a powerline project.

    The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly in the electrical transmission and utilities sectors.

    This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.


    A typical day:

    • Lead and manage the powerline project from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, budget, and timeline
    • Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and Indigenous communities, to ensure project success
    • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
    • Oversee the preparation of project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor project progress
    - implement risk management strategies to mitigate project risk

    • Lead and mentor a team of engineering and support staff
    • Foster strong relationships with management, external partners, and customers.

    The successful candidate brings:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation (preferred)
    • Minimum of 15 years of experience in project management within the energy, utilities, or construction sectors
    • Proven track record of managing largescale, multidisciplinary projects, including powerline construction and high voltage projects
    • Extensive experience in stakeholder management, including working with Indigenous communities and regulatory agencies
    • Demonstrated success in leading teams and managing project budgets exceeding $50M
    • Strong background in safety leadership, environmental management, and regulatory compliance
