    Summary

    We are launching an end-to-end warranty management solution that empowers manufacturers to speed up your warranty processes, boost customer satisfaction and streamline your teams' workflow.

    We are looking for a senior advisor / consultant with deep industry expertise within the consumer electronics and appliance verticals to bring the venture to success.

    The Opportunity

    While a necessary cost of business, limited warranties represent a large revenue drain for OEMs, with warranty claims costing between 2-5% of net sales for manufacturers. The process of limited warranty management is extremely manually intensive for both the manufacturer and customer, with added complexity when a technician is required for repairs. These challenges have resulted in inflated operating costs for OEMs and a frustrating experience for customers.

    We believe there is an opportunity to build an end-to-end warranty management platform that is purpose-built for manufacturers. Our platform connects purchase data from every channel and provides a centralized dashboard for managing product protection, limited warranty, troubleshooting, service plans and registration.

    The solution would be a smart limited warranty claims engine that slots seamlessly into your existing support workflows. It centralizes limited warranty data and automates protocols to deliver seamless, brand-worthy experiences with minimal time and effort.

    This venture has been significantly de-risked, with product-market fit verified and a solid commercial pipeline.

    Who we are looking for

    As a consultant / advisor, you will play a critical role in refining our GTM strategy and initial product offerings. Your expertise in the consumer electronics and appliance industries will be instrumental in forging strategic partnerships that align with our vision and business goals.

    If you are up for it, you will:

    • Develop and execute a strategy for identifying potential design partners in the consumer electronics and appliance sectors (or adjacent verticals with similar pain points)
    • Leverage your network and industry knowledge to initiate and nurture relationships with key stakeholders
    • Coordinate and lead meetings between Diagram Ventures and potential partners to discuss partnership opportunities
    • Advise on negotiation strategies and assist in crafting proposals that align with both Diagram Ventures' objectives and the potential partner's goals
    • Provide insights and feedback to the working team to ensure the partnership's needs are met
    • Refine our marketing materials and client pitch deck to be "pitch ready" for partnership conversations

    Background and experience:

    • Strong experience working in the consumer electronics or appliances industry, ideally with a background working directly with internal warranty programs or extended warranties
    • Strong network of brand contacts in the industry and a track record of successful partnership facilitation
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present and persuade at all levels of an organization
    • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and business development
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment

    Other desirable assets:

    • Past experience implementing an extended warranty program for a retailer / manufacturer
