    Description
    Lawson Clark & Oldman is one of Durham Region's oldest and well-respected law firms. We are seeking an experienced Corporate Law Clerk (minimum 2-5 years experience) to join our firm.

    The successful candidate will assist with all aspects of corporate and commercial files and must have the ability to manage corporate and commercial closings from beginning to end.

    The full-time, permanent position is based in Ajax.

    This position would be the ideal opportunity for a corporate clerk with a professional work ethic seeking to work in a rewarding and fast-paced environment.

    Prepares corporate documents for corporate financings
    Completes and files Form 1 with Ministry when changes of registered office, directors or officers
    Drafts asset purchase/sale documents, share purchase/sale agreements and all related documents including Closing Agendas
    Orders all corporate searches, including Certificate of Status, Corporate Profiles, PPSA searches and prepares PPSA registrations and filing of same
    Preparation of disbursement statements and draft accounts;

    Minimum 2-5 years' experience working as a corporate law clerk at a large or boutique law firm
    Law Clerk Diploma from an accredited Ontario college
    Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    Knowledge of corporate entity data management systems is an asset.
