    Description

    Test Automation Developer, Hybrid work (3 days in office, in Ottawa). 1 year+ contract.

    On behalf of our multinational and leading-industry client, Procom is seeking a Test Automation Developer to be involved in the delivery of software solutions that will be used to validate our client's latest network technologies. You will develop automated test tools, libraries, and scripts, and maintain automated execution of test suites.

    Responsibilities

    -Interface with development and test teams to understand feature functionality and testing requirements

    -Devise test scenarios and implement automated test suites for maximum coverage

    -Develop and maintain software tools and features to assist in automated testing

    -Triage test failures from automated test systems

    -Contribute to team deliverables through involvement in agile scrum development sprints

    -Develop and maintain test libraries that interface with electronic control units (ECUs)

    -Interface with development and test teams to understand feature functionality and testing requirements

    -Devise test scenarios and implement automated test suites for maximum coverage

    Required Skills

    -Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field of study

    -3+ years of experience in test automation and tools development

    -2+ years of experience in Python development and object-oriented design

    -Experience in maintaining the automated execution for large number of tests and experience triaging test results

    -Solid experience testing embedded devices using a Python-based test framework

    -Strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving

    -Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    -Detail oriented and adept at detecting and diagnosing software defects
