The Sovereign General Insurance Company is looking for a dynamic individual to join our National Resource Practice Team.The successful candidate will be adept at analyzing risks and providing creative solutions to brokers, is driven to achieve impressive results while influencing and inspiring others to do the same with a desire to provide exceptional customer service to our brokers.
In this role you will underwrite National Resource Practice business in upstream and mid-stream oil and gas, power generation and utility operations, hard and soft rock mining, greenfield energy construction projects and emerging clean technology.
Analysis of risk including understanding the technology and process, exposures, and risk mitigation controls.Engage Specialists and Risk Engineering for collaboration.
You value and encourage others to have cooperative and collaborative dialogue because diverse perspectives offer more creative and productive solutions.
Minimum of 3-5 years of Commercial Underwriting experience.Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation; Canadian Risk Management (CRM) or Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) is an asset.
Advanced decision making and problem-solving skills in underwriting and technical knowledge.
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, competent doing research and collaborating with other underwriters, risk engineering and reinsurers.
