    Our client is a start up Canadian insurance company, specializing in non standard insurance solutions. They deliver comprehensive coverage across for unique and hard to place risks. Lead by industry leaders, their porfolio has been expanding across Canada, they are ready to welcome a new team member to help their underwriting processing and administration.

    ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

    This Commercial Underwriting Assistant is responsible for handling submissions, endorsements, renewals, and claims in accordance with established guidelines and service benchmarks. This position involves maintaining accurate database records and documentation. Additionally, you will support underwriters in analyzing and evaluating risks, conducting risk assessments, and assisting the underwriting team as required.

    ABOUT THE POSITION

    • Entering client and policy information into the system, ensuring a high level of data quality and integrity
    • Reviewing and processing policy submissions, renewals, endorsements, and claims
    • Performing risk analysis on various commercial accounts, support underwriting decisions
    • Adhoc requests and project support for underwriters

    THE REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum 1 year of experience in similar role, underwriting support or administration in commercial property and casualty space
    • Proficiency in MS Excel and Office
    • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication and organizational skills
    • In progress with or designated in CIP or CRM

    COMPENSATION

    • $45,000 - $60,000 salary depending on experience
    • Education support, continuous career progression in commercial underwriting
