    Role :

    The Operations & Logistics Manager is a key member of the Leadership team, responsible for managing the daily functions of fulfillment, shipping, and receiving.

    In this role, the Operations & Logistics Manager oversees the distribution center to ensure optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness in all operations. The successful candidate will lead the organization of the distribution center and ensure that 90% of orders are fulfilled within SLAs.

    Responsibilities:

    Leadership

    • Supervise and offer guidance and mentorship to the distribution team across various departments (including shipping, receiving, and inventory) to uphold KPI achievement
    • Conduct team training sessions on company policies and procedures related to shipping, receiving, and inventory management
    • Monitor operational expenses to ensure they align with the budgets established by the leadership team

    Logistics

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to synchronize inbound and outbound material and finished goods deliveries
    • Manage inbound and outbound logistics in partnership with freight forwarders to guarantee punctual delivery of all shipments, including local, regional, cross-border, and international
    • Generate necessary shipping documentation, such as BOLs and commercial invoices, as required
    • Monitor shipment progress and communicate updates to team members as necessary
    • Resolve any logistical challenges by liaising with relevant stakeholders

    Operations

    • Guarantee timely receipt of finished goods purchase orders and promptly communicate any discrepancies to the appropriate teams for resolution
    • Supervise fulfillment operations to uphold adherence to SLA timelines
    • Monitor adherence to inventory procedures to uphold inventory accuracy
    • Communicate delivery updates to key stakeholders and proactively address any potential issues
    • Create and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for operational efficiency
    • Nurture relationships with carriers and transport vendors to optimize rates

    Requirements:

    • Strong organizational abilities, capable of prioritizing both individual and team tasks based on deliverables and deadlines
    • Strong communication skills and can effectively work with various departments and external stakeholders
    • Demonstrates strong leadership skills and is able to provide feedback effectively
    • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and embraces change and new ideas.
    • Collaborates with other teams to devise innovative solutions for challenges and processes
    • Highly organized and strong attention to detail
    • Thorough understanding of process mapping and systems
    • Works well in a team environment, contributing to collective goal achievement
    • Empathetic and personable, recognizing team members' backgrounds and individual skill sets
