    Description
    Our client is an employee-owned Tier One National General Contractor. They are currently hiring for a Project Accountant to join their team.

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining project accounting processes and controls, to ensure delivery of clear, accurate, consistent and relevant project and branch financial information on a timely basis.

    Provide financial input regarding labour costs, overheads, and other project costs for all material bids and tenders
    Provide financial input regarding appropriate contractual, commercial terms and conditions, communicating and engaging with Treasury and Tax as appropriate
    Ensure adherence to government, Provincial/State regulations, and taxes to ensure compliance at the Project level and branch/business unit level and consults with Tax department as required
    Degree in Commerce/Business/Accounting or a related field
    ~ Professional Accounting Designation (CPA) is preferred
    ~5 + years relevant accounting experience
    ~ Strong understanding of Project Accounting principles and practices
    ~ Strong Technical accounting proficiency in billing and cost accounting
