    Description

    We have an opportunity for a Contract Technician (SAP) on a long term contract basis located in Edmonton, AB with our client, a leading global energy organization.

    As construction is well underway of their new facility, our client is seeking a Contract Technician who has a strong SAP background to assist their team to help deliver products and services.

    Monitoring existing purchasing procedures to ensure that the procurement process is effective and identify any procedural improvements.
    Processing requisitions, RFQ's, quotes and the issue of Purchase Orders to suppliers, for Service Orders (in SAP).
    Expediting orders to ensure that all promised delivery times from approved vendors are monitored and met (e.g. smaller low value contracts, vehicle rentals, water and office suppliers and similar)
    Work with Cost Control to get the necessary Network ID/Activity code for requested requisitions.
    Update Contracts Commitment Reports.
    Pull SAP reports for Monthly Reporting e.g. Conduct RFP's, evaluations, and post contract award management for low-risk contracts, e.g. time and material, commissioning (Labour rate contracts).
    Manage contract for site services, water, vehicle rentals and similar.
    Experience with SAP is a must have.

    Processing requisitions, RFQ's, quotes POs to suppliers for Service Orders in SAP
    Effectively Sourced & Negotiated contracts with suppliers & developed strong working relationships.
    Expedition of orders including small contract orders having delivered efficiently on time.
    Monthly PO reporting, updating contracts reports - SAP.
    Contract negotiation and successfully managed relationships.
    Conducted RFP's, evaluations and post contract award management for contracts, e.g. time and material, commissioning (Labour rate contracts).
    Experience with electrical engineers will be an asset.

    by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit).
    Have a valid and clean driver's license.

    Undergo a pre-placement medical assessment of your fitness for duty, a background check and Pre-Site Access testing for alcohol and specified drugs.
