Position Summary

Centennial College is immediately hiring a Program Quality Learning Advisor to support the comprehensive and annual academic program quality review processes.

Reporting to the Manager, Program Quality, the Program Quality Learning Advisor supports program coordinators, faculty members and Academic Chairsas they analyse stakeholder feedback, program related data and review curriculum analysis to complete their comprehensive program quality review (CPQR) report.

The Program Quality Learning advisor role will work with the Program Quality team to support curriculum analysis work, review draft CPQR reports and support collaborative discussions, referring college staff to relevant events and resources to connect program quality standards to their area of study.


Responsibilities

  • Support program coordinators CPQR leads tasked with comprehensive program quality reviews and program accreditations
  • Facilitate CPQR Community of Practice sessions for CPQR between September and June, to program coordinators, faculty and Academic Chairs
  • Provide project management support to program coordinators/CPQR leads, guiding them to complete CPQR deliverables including the final CPQR report, CPQR Action Item report, and PQRCC and College Council meeting presentations, by the established deadlines.
  • Support development of curriculum analysis reports
  • Collaborate with school staff and any other assigned faculty for the purpose of developing an evidencebased approach to resolving program quality review process concerns and recommendations for improving programs and processes.
  • Collaborate, consult and liaise with college faculty and staff, acting as a resource on issues related to program quality review reports.
  • Collaborate with members of the AEPQ team and external departments as required to garner data/information/analysis needed for the successful completion of the CPQR report.
  • Supports faculty with development of action items that connect to improving program quality.
  • Assist faculty to develop effective practices to improve program quality through the development and delivery of training sessions, facilitated engagement or individual consultation.
  • Track and document activities with program coordinators, school teams and faculty to contribute to research objectives and to inform improvement of the program quality review processes.
  • Participate in research activities including conducting research, analyzing data/requirements, collecting and recording issues and successes with the process, analyzing such data and possibly writing reports.
  • Maintain administrative duties as required such as scheduling and tracking appointments, class lists for CPQR training, booking venues and related logistics for events, etc.
  • Conducts needs assessment/analysis for program Accreditation requirements.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Fouryear degree or equivalent in the area of education/adult education, humanities/social sciences, human services or related discipline, with emphasis in research design/analysis, scholarship and report writing. Postgraduate qualifications considered an asset.
  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in an advising, client service or support role.
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience writing formal reports/academic papers/developing action plans with some experience conducting research/analysis,.
  • Minimum one (1) year related practical experience in facilitating meetings, presenting complicated information, proofreading and editing academic papers, and quality assurance process improvement.
