    RoleOverview

    As a Senior SR&EDTax Credit Consultant focused on clients specializing in theSciences field at ABGi Canada, you will bring strong technicalskills on a team of other STEM backgrounds and work in acollaborative team setting to identify and substantiate R&Dtax credit claims for clients across Canada. This role willspecialize with working with clients in the IT and STEM sector.ABGi Canada has worked with hundreds of clients in thearchitecture, engineering, software, biomedical sciences, oil andgas, manufacturing, apparel, brewing, aerospace, and agricultureindustries.

    A Day In TheLife

    • Throughinteractions with clients and the ABGI Conseil Mission Management,identify activities eligible for the SR&ED tax credit anddevelop the structure of the claims.
    • Identifythe expenses related to these activities that are eligible for theSR&ED tax credit and/or government grants andsubsidies.
    • Drafting the SR&ED claimsor grants and subsidies to be submitted to the tax authorities, incollaboration with the client and under the supervision of the ABGIConseil project manager.
    • Document the claimsusing the relevant forms and technical reports to support thework.
    • Assist clients in the Canada RevenueAgency (CRA) audit process.
    • Participate ininternational collaborations with other subsidiaries of the group(USA; UK, France, Brazil).

    Requirements

    • Minimum of an advanced master's degree or higher inengineering, IT, electronics, or related field from an accrediteduniversity
    • Minimum of one to five years ofexperience as a SR&ED consultant within a professionalservices organization
    • Knowledge of theSR&ED program and other government incentives
    • Ability to understand technological issues and to expressthem clearly to valorize the elements eligible to the SR&EDprogram.
    • Previous professional experience inIT, gaming, electrical engineering, electronics, mechanicalengineering
    • Excellent communication, bothwritten and verbal, in French and English
    • Ability to conduct technical interviews with specialistsin several technological fields.
    • Excellentproject management skills.
