Reporting to a Director in the Audit branch, you will have overall responsibility for leading the activities of an audit team in the day-to-day administration of various acts and related regulations and guidelines. The Senior Manager is responsible for leading a team of professional audit staff in the audit and enforcement of a variety of programs. The Senior Manager is also responsible for the development and delivery of audit plans and to identify and determine mitigation strategies for managing risks.
You will be involved in business planning, quality assurance, monthly status reporting, and resource allocation based on prioritized risk assessment. Your strong knowledge of legislation, problem-solving and supervisory skills will enable you to manage day-to-day operations and staff performance and development ensuring that tax and resource revenue is complete, accurate and fairly valued. You will utilize your strong interpersonal and consultation skills when you participate on internal and external committees with other branches and departments, on resolution of common issues.
You must be able to work with minimal supervision and be able to prioritize, to ensure you are meeting tight timelines. You will have excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and be able to articulate and present complex issues to a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Strong analytical and interpretative skills as well as attention to detail and accuracy will assist you in this role. The ability to build collaborative environments by establishing positive working relationships and managing multiple assignments simultaneously is key.
