    *Qualifications:

    • Registered Practical Nurse with a current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses
    • Proof of medication administration education/competency
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Leadership ability
    • Demonstrated ability to participate and function in a Team environment
    • Understanding of and commitment to Resident centered care
    • Long-term care experience an asset
    • Other related certification an asset
    *Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Dispensing of medication
    • Treatment of dressing changes
    • Communication with physicians and families
    • Supervises and directs on-floor Team Members where required
    • Problem solving complex situation
    • Participate in the ongoing assessment of Resident care needs, monitoring and reporting the condition of all Residents
    • Follow established duties and job routines outlined in S&R policies and procedures
    • Support the principles of Continuous Quality Improvement
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
