    ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN (NOC

    Company: Sixth Avenue Arbutus Management Corp.

    Number of Positions: One

    Location of work: Vancouver

    Job Title: Accounting Technician

    We are looking for competent and experienced Accounting Technician / Juniour Accountant to provide accounting expertise to the Company's business. The successful candidates will be determined by their experience and attitude toward working in a fast-paced environment. Accounting degree / diploma is required for this position along with two or more years of experience. Additionally we are seeking team players an undeterred drive as a fit with our corporate culture.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    To provide some idea of the tasks you may be performing, a list of responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

    • Plan, set up and administer accounting systems
    • Ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures and internal control
    • Prepare financial information for individuals, departments or companies
    • Prepare reports and audit findings
    • Prepare financial statements and reports
    • Recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices
    • Conduct field audits of businesses to ensure compliance with provisions of the Income Tax Act, the Canadian Business Corporations Act or other statutory requirements
    • Develop and maintain cost findings, reporting and internal control procedure
    • Prepare remittances from accounting records
    • Analyze financial documents and reports
    • Examine accounting records
    • Provide financial, business and tax advice
    • Other accounting requirements as determined by the accounting manager

    REQUIREMENTS

    Requirements and qualifications for this position are a combination of skills and attitude:

    • Must have a diploma in an accounting program
    • Must be working towards a CPA designation
    • Must be have 3 - 5 years of experience in accounting
    • Must have 1+ years of Yardi Voyager experience

    Terms of Employment: Full time, permanent
