- Developing and optimizing workflows for ADC conjugation and purification, and initiating process scaling studies for ADC production
- Designing and performing DOE assays for screening ADC conjugation scouting, buffer formulation and product characterization
- Assessing critical quality attributes of the ADC candidates by establishing and implementing assays that assess product stability and homogeneity, including but not limited to: aSEC, icIEF, CE-SDS, HIC and other HPLC characterization assays
- Executing and validating emerging technologies in the field of conjugate science and ADC therapeutic discovery
- Collaborating with teams across the company to solve problems, analyze, interpret and communicate data
- Training and mentoring more junior scientists
- Growing your technical skill set and engaging in professional development
- Preparing and authoring materials to educate colleagues as well as communicate strategies, key findings and implications
- You have demonstrated hands-on experience with conjugation and purification of antibody-drug conjugates, preferably in an industry setting
- You enjoy a fast-paced work environment and are a creative problem solver who believes in teamwork to tackle the most challenging problems
- You hold a PhD in Biochemistry, Biological Chemistry, Chemistry or a related field, with 2-3 years of antibody or other protein conjugation experience; candidates with a MSc and 4-8 years of relevant experience, including 2-3+ years of experience specifically with ADCs in an industry setting, will also be considered
- You have a working knowledge of antibody structure and function, as well as modern antibody linker technologies
- You are comfortable working independently and escalating concerns with project execution and deliverables
- You are excited about the opportunity to develop and optimize cutting edge antibody drug conjugates
- You have exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills including public presentation of complex data
- You have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a member of cross-functional team

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist with a background in both protein purification and antibody drug conjugate (ADC) development to join our multidisciplinary team. This lab-based position is a great opportunity to help build ADC production and conjugation workflows and progress our ADC therapeutic candidates. What we offer
AbCellera's hiring range for this role is CAD $93, ,700 annually, commensurate with your education and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we offer equity, annual bonus dependent on team and company performance, and a 6% (non-match) RRSP contribution.
