FIGO is looking for a skilled SERVICE MANAGER/SOMMELIER to join our dynamic FOH team, where we serve up delicious Italian inspired dishes in an elegantly stylish setting. Our menu boasts a variety of mouth-watering options including house-made ricotta, wood-fired pizzas, and freshly prepared pastas. We believe in keeping things simple; sourcing the finest ingredients and presenting them in a modern and straightforward manner.

In this role, the SERVICE MANAGER/SOMMELIER will play a crucial part in achieving the restaurant's service, sales, and profit goals. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining strong community relations, and creating unforgettable experiences for our guests.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all aspects of the restaurant operations with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Recruit, train, and supervise Front of House staff to maintain high performance standards
- Provide continuous feedback to staff, fostering a positive work environment
- Uphold quality, hygiene, and safety standards while maintaining a professional image
- Assist guests with wine selections, manage the wine inventory, and oversee cocktail lists
- Develop and coach employees to maximize their potential and performance

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years' experience in a managerial role in a similar setting
- Degree/diploma in Business/Hospitality Management or related field is an asset
- Sommelier accreditation or wine education is a plus
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
- Excellent communication skills and high level of integrity
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
