Your Role:

We are seekingan innovative Structural BIM Leadwith a practical background to join our Digital Engineering Departmentto lead the integration of design and cloud technologies with multi-disciplinary Engineering and Constructionfor our Pickering, ON office.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Responsibilities:

Prepare complex BIMmodels using Revit and other BIM tools.

Maintain and develop standard Revit familiesand BIM data requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Develop workflows to integrate BIM models with Point Clouds to facilitate design for brownfield.

Adopt and administrate new tools to drive the digital transformation of engineering, construction, and design using cloud technologies such as the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Cintoo, Procore, integration with analysis software (STAAD Pro), etc.

Integrate vendor designs/ 3D models ensuring integrity of BIM data is maintained by developing new workflows for different design authoring tools such as Siemens NX, Bentley Microstation, Solidworks, etc.

Develop new workflows to automate generation of deliverables such as Bill of Materials using Revit schedules from the BIM model.

Lead and collaborate with other design disciplines to integrate and complete multi-discipline designs.

Develop and detail high quality drawings, with strong attention to detail using a BIM-first workflow while also adhering to drafting standards.

The ideal candidate will be capable of committing to and maintaining project timelines while working on multiple projects simultaneously.

The ability to document and track project tasks and related design documents is required.

Qualifications:

Must be proficient in Revit and the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).

Must be an adept problem solver, driven to innovate, and keen to work with a multi-disciplinary mindset.

Experience with other BIM tools such as Civil3D, Tekla, Plant3D, AVEVA E3D, etc. is considered a strong asset.

Knowledge of National Building Code and AISC Steel Construction is considered a strong asset.

Hands-on experience in the design of industrial structures (steel, concrete, wood, masonry) is considered a strong asset.

Experienceusing STAAD Pro structural analysis software is considered an asset.

Graduation from an accredited institute program in Electrical/Civil/Mechanical Engineering or Technology.

P. Eng or OACETT Certificationis considered an asset.

5+ years of relevant design and drafting experience in consulting and/or Energy industryis considered an asset.

Ability to work in a team environment.

Well-developed written and verbal communication skills is required.

Ability to work effectively while managing multiple tasks.

A requirement of working for Tetra Tech is that you are at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada. (A copy of a valid work permit may be required.)
