    Description

    Job Title:
    Intermediate Programmer/Software Developer (Level 2)

    Location:
    Ottawa, ON

    Job Type:
    Contract (240 days with potential extensions)

    Clearance:
    SECRETResponsibilities:Design and Development: Create detailed programs, flow charts, and diagrams for controlling laboratory equipment, processing data, and storing results

    Coding:
    Translate flow charts into machine instructions and collaborate with technical personnel for program planning

    Testing and Validation:
    Verify program accuracy with sample data and system acceptance tests; Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of software architectures, data formats, and operating procedures

    Performance Evaluation:
    Assess the performance of ECM systems using the automated software control application

    Software Management:
    Establish and maintain software configuration management processes.
    Undertake other software developer-related tasks in support of DRDC ECM activities.


    Qualifications:

    Education:
    Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science from a recognized Canadian institution (or equivalent)


    Experience:
    Minimum of 3 years in software design and implementation within the last 2 yearsMinimum of 3 years in planning, testing, and evaluating communication protocols using RF laboratory equipment within the last 2 years

    Skills:
    Proficiency in software architecture, flow charts, and machine-level programming.
