    Description
    Software Developer
    Adecco is currently recruiting for a Software Developer. This is a 1- year hybrid contract opportunity with a possibility of extension. This role is with one of our public sector client based in Ottawa.

    The Software Developer will have the following responsibilities:
    Translate detailed flow charts into coded machine instructions and confer with technical personnel;
    Verify accuracy and completeness of programs by preparing sample data, and testing them by correct program errors by revising instructions or altering the sequence of operations;
    Document software architectures, flow charts, data formats and operating procedures;
    Evaluate the performance of communications ECM systems using an automated software control
    Meet with client staff in order to determine ECM load set requirements and then develop and design and implementation of hardware control applications for sensors and/or laboratory;
    Design detailed programs, flow charts, and diagrams indicating mathematical computation and sequence of machine operations necessary to control laboratory equipment, process data and store the results in planning programs means of system acceptance test runs made by operating personnel application;
    Definition and documentation of software requirements; Establish and maintain software configuration management processes;

    Develop and maintain software documentation, including design documents and user manuals; Other Software Developer-related tasks in support of DRDC ECM activities.

    The Software Developer must meet the following mandatory requirements:
    Must have a Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or computer science from a Canadian University, or equivalent from a foreign institution, as determined by the Canadian Centre for International Credentials;

    Must have a minimum of 60 months of work experience in software design and implementation, within the last 120 months.

    Must have a minimum of 60 months of work experience in the planning, testing, and evaluation of communication protocols using Radio Frequency (RF) laboratory equipment, within the last 120 months;
    Must have more than 60 months of demonstrated work experience within the past 120 months in software design and implementation;
    Must have demonstrated work experience within the past 120 months working on communications electronic warfare (CEW) systems, including RF transmission, RF reception or RF measurement activities;
    Must have demonstrated work experience within the past 60 months using and programming with software development environments such as Matlab or Python;
    Must have demonstrated work experience within the past 120 months designing and evaluating communications electronic countermeasures (ECM) systems;
    Must have demonstrated work experience in the design and implementation of embedded processing applications, within the last 120 months;
    Must have demonstrated work experience in using Radio Frequency (RF) laboratory equipment within the last 120 months;
