QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training And Experience

A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Informatics or a related field and at least five (5) years project management experience in a health care environment.

Skills And Abilities

Project Management Certification (PMP, CAPM, PgMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and/or demonstrated experience in leading and managing large projects in information systems using formal project management processes and techniques.
Experience with implementing business and process changes in a health care environment and experience with information systems analysis and design procedures and techniques.
Understanding of VIHA's business, principles and procedures.
Understanding of infrastructure hardware such as networks, storage, processing, and cabling.
Familiarity with data centres / server rooms, environmental systems, and security.
Well developed interpersonal and client relationship skills.
Effective meeting management skills.
Supervisory or managerial experience and ability to provide team leadership.
Knowledge and practice in effective problem solving techniques.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of departments and technical, operational and vendor staff.
Ability to effectively work with and motivate individuals having different knowledge and skills as well as special interest groups.
Ability to develop and deliver formal change management practices.
Excellent presentation, writing and communication skills.
Excellent listening, coaching, group facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
Proficient use of various project management tools, applications and processes.
Effective operation of computer software and peripheral equipment.
Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
