    Description
    With about 300 employees across Canada, we're a company that's making a difference in the world of life insurance. We currently have a great opportunity for a senior underwriter to join our team and make an impact. As a Senior Underwriter, your expertise will greatly complement and contribute to our department's continuous evolution.
    You will underwrite new business applications and non-contractual policy changes.

    Assess medical, financial and non-medical risk, including rated, modified and declined assessments appropriately using ivari 's underwriting guidelines, reinsurance manual, and procedures.

    Conduct risk assessment and classification according to ivari's underwriting philosophy
    Participate in projects related to technology, and guideline development as required
    5-8 years of experience in individual life insurance underwriting
    Excellent medical and financial underwriting knowledge
    Previous experience dealing with brokerage distribution network
    University or College Degree, ideally in Business, Finance or Health Sciences is an asset
    FLMI and FALU Certifications are an asset
