    Alta Planning + Design, Canada Inc seeks a Multimodal Engineer (internal title Engineering Designer III) for our Ottawa, Ontario office.

    Alta Planning + Design, Canada – Inc is a subsidiary of APD with its Canadian headquarters in Ottawa and an office in Toronto.

    We work on projects from coast to coast to coast in Canada.

    With minimal oversight you will have a variety of tasks you're responsible for including functional, preliminary and detailed design, technical writing, cost estimates, and specifications.

    This will include working on small projects or portions of larger projects.

    In addition you will participate in site visits, outreach activities and be encouraged to lead some client meetings (internal and external) as well as team meetings and trainings.

    You will support a variety of internal and external clients on creating design packages, design guidance documents, feasibility studies, and other planning documents.

    AutoCAD and/or Microstation; MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    ~4-7+ years experience in engineering
    ~ Post-secondary education in engineering from accredited program
    ~ Registered Professional Engineer, or eligible for full membership with a provincial agency, and/or Certified Engineering Technologist

    Flexible schedule
    Alta offers a flexible, hybrid work schedule where most employees work from home three days per week. In-office days support our collaborative culture, one of our core values. The Ottawa office is located in the Wellington West area. The pay range for this job in Ottawa is $80,000 – 95,000 CAD annually .
