    This position plays a key role in the digital development team within Nutrien's IT Digital Delivery Center (DDC). The DDC oversees and executes design, development, and delivery of digital and custom solutions for Nutrien. The DDC focuses on driving value from Nutrien's strategic digital technology investments by delivering exceptional experiences and placing humans and customer obsession at center of what we do, what we develop and how we deliver and sustain our digital assets.

    This position reports to the Senior Manager, Digital Application Development.

    What you will do:

    • Design, develope, test, and maintain scalable and efficient software solutions according to project requirements and best practices
    • Manage and optimize scalable distributed systems on the cloud, optimization of web applications for performance and scalability
    • Work closely with offshore development teams to align on project goals, facilitate knowledge transfer, and ensuring smooth collaboration across different time zones and cultures
    • Collaborate with the front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience
    • Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, maintainability, and scalability, providing constructive feedback to team members and approving pull requests promptly
    • Serve as a technical leader within the team, guiding and mentoring junior engineers, sharing best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement

    What you will bring:

    • Bachelor's degree or diploma in computer engineering/computer science or related field
    • 6+ years of relevant experience including professional programming, working as a .NET or .NET Core developer, AWS and cloud systems (S3, RDS, API gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB), and GitLab/GitHub, SQL and/or NoSQL, proficient with Jira
    • Experience coding, testing, and deploying environments with serverless backend services
    • Strong knowledge of and experience with using web services, RESTful API, and web protocols
    • Experience working in an agile team and have participated in agile ceremonies
