Position Overview
As the Operations Controller you will play a critical role in supporting the financial operations of Beyond Energy.

You will be responsible for managing and analyzing financial data, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions, and providing valuable insights to aid in decision-making.

You will collaborate with various departments, such as Finance, Operations, and Management, to streamline processes, optimize financial performance, and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.


Financial Analysis and Reporting:


  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics, to executive management.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor departmental budgets and financial targets.

Transaction Processing and Accounting:


  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and general ledger entries.
  • Reconcile and analyze accounts to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Review and approve financial transactions, invoices, and general ledger entries, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the monthend and yearend closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.

Cost Analysis and Control:


  • Monitor and analyze operational costs, identifying areas for cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and process optimization.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to streamline financial processes, enhance efficiency, and improve financial systems and controls.
  • Conduct monthly review of inventory balances and trends and assist with physical counts as required.
  • Support the implementation of cost control measures and assist in evaluating the financial impact of operational decisions.

Compliance and Audit:


  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide support during internal and external audits.
  • Participate in the development and enhancement of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and recommend adjustments to processes as necessary.

Cross-functional Collaboration:


  • Work closely with finance, operations, and other departments to gather relevant financial information and provide guidance on financial matters.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of company ERP system.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) are preferred.
  • Solid understanding of International financial reporting standards (IFRS).
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
  • Proficient in using financial software and ERP systems. Experience with accounting software such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fastpaced environment
