    Description

    Strategic Asset Protection Planning:

    Develop and implement comprehensive asset prevention strategies and risk management plans to protect company assets, including merchandise, stores, head office, distribution centres and people.

    Build and nurture a high-performing asset protection team, focusing on talent retention and growth, as well as succession planning.


    Collaboration:
    Work closely with cross-functional partners, including Operations, Supply Chain, and Loss Prevention teams, to align efforts and achieve company-wide asset protection objectives

    Oversee case and field management activities across multiple regions, working closely with Regional partners and field leaders to address asset protection challenges.


    Retail Crime Mitigation:

    Collaborate with local law enforcement and field teams to combat retail crime effectively, ensuring a safe shopping environment for customers and employees.


    Loss Prevention:

    Develop, Implement and lead asset protection strategies to reduce inventory shrinkage and fraudulent activities, working closely with store leadership and loss prevention associates.


    Technology Integration:

    Stay at the forefront of asset protection technology trends and implement innovative solutions to enhance the security and efficiency of our operations.


    Risk Assessment:
    Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and develop action plans to mitigate potential threats.

    Vendor Management:
    Collaborate with vendors and contractors to procure and maintain equipment and services.

    Incident Management:
    Lead investigations into security breaches or incidents, ensuring appropriate measures are taken and legal requirements are met.
    Manage the budget for asset protection, including capital spending, analytics, and loss prevention initiatives.
    Bachelor's degree in security management, criminal justice, or a related field.

    Minimum of 10 years of experience in asset protection, loss prevention, or security management, with a demonstrated track record of success in a large retail environment.

    Strong understanding of security technologies, risk management principles, and emergency response protocols.
    Knowledge of local, provincial, and federal laws and regulations related to security and asset protection.
    Analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess risks and develop proactive solutions.
    Proficiency in computer applications and security software.
