    Mosaic is seeking an Operations Accountant, for a 2-year work term, to work out of ourNanaimo office on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.

    Working with the Timberlands Finance team, the Operations Accountant is responsible for a range of financial tasks, including cost and project accounting, data management and financial modelling, journal entries, month-end tasks, and preparation of month-end reconciliations.

    Supporting the Operations Finance group by providing financial analysis and reporting on business results;
    Ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and effectiveness of financial records, data, and reporting for Operations and Timberlands Finance;
    Developing and maintaining consistent tracking of information to support informed business decisions and project reporting;
    Preparing and analyzing transactions at month end for reporting purposes, preparing management reports for discussion, and reviewing reconciliations;
    Strong understanding of general cost accounting concepts;
    Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills;

    Proficiency in operations systems such as Microsoft Dynamics or Business Central 365, 3Log LIMS and Concur SAP is preferred but not required; Forestry accounting experience is preferred but not required.

    Compensation The annual salary range for this position is $79,800 to $99,800.
