    Job: Product Technician – Testing and Assembly

    Title Product Technician – Testing and Assembly Salary $25.00 -$30.00 per hour Location York, ON Job Information Location 60 Clarkson Ave, Toronto, Ontario, M6E 2T6, Canada. Education Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering. (Preferred) bachelor's degree. Start Date ASAP. Duration 6 months contract (possible extension into a full-time permanent position).

    Responsibilities

  • Assembling, installing, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic components and systems.
  • Utilizes process documentations such as but not limited to the following: BOM's, Visuals, Debug, Repair, Testing tools, manuals, and procedures.
  • Perform duties such as quality assurance and testing as required with a high level of quality.
  • Identifying products that fail the testing, and ensure they are adequately labelled and routed to the further processing.
  • Working with our Production Engineer to determine common failure modes and support troubleshooting or process improvement as required.
  • Create and test product prototypes.
  • Track Live data of devices and functions.
  • Provide online and onsite customer support.
  • Other duties as assigned/ Collaborate and cooperate with the team-members and assist others as needed.
  • Able to read and understand PCB Schematics, specifically Motherboard Schematics of a laptop.
  • Technical Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of electronics principles and design.
  • Experience in soldering is required.
  • General troubleshooting for manufacturing failures is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work with / read, interpret, and follow detailed technical documentation and guidance.
  • Experience with electronic product manufacturing or assembly highly preferred
  • General competence with technology and using computers.
  • High attention to detail and concentration on tasks.
  • Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Experience in product manufacturing or relevant field.
  • Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A Relevant certificate or license may be required.
