    Description

    A DAY IN THE LIFE...

  • Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning activities on Electrical and Instrumentation Systems.
  • Verify functionality of all devices and controls, including vendor package Instruments.
  • Configures, Loop Checks and Commissions Instrument Devices, Communication protocols and the interface with industrial control systems.
  • Operates and maintains precision testing and Calibration equipment.
  • Calibrates, Loop Checks and Commissions, transmitters, control valves, actuators, positioners, solenoids, switches, MOV's, louvre's, RTD's, thermocouples, Gas & Fire Detection systems etc.
  • Calibrates, Loop Checks and Commissions, UPS, VFD's, low voltage analog, digital and metering systems.
  • Interprets drawings. PID's, Instrument details, Instrument data sheets, loop diagrams, Control Narratives, Shutdown Keys, specifications, and detailed scopes of work.
  • Corrects all deficiencies and keeps accurate records.
  • Updates applicable redlines drawings and QA/QC Documentation.

    • EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a certified Journeyman Instrumentation Technician.
  • Must possess industrial instrumentation experience.
  • Must possess commissioning and start-up experience.
  • Must be able to take initiative, work independently as well as in a team.
  • Must be reliable and dependable (i.e.: punctual and ready to work).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A demonstrated ability to work safely.

    • TICKETS REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have applicable safety tickets (i.e. CSTS-20, Standard First Aid, Fall Arrest, WHMIS 2015)
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
