    Description of Duties:
    Career Trek is currently seeking an organized and proactive volunteer to join our team as an Administrative Assistant. Throughout your volunteer placement, we'll provide you with support, mentorship, and guidance.

    You will have the opportunity to learn skills like customer service, payroll set-up, donation processing, basic accounts payable, presentation skills, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

    This is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking for work experience in the Administrative or Human Resource field.
    Maintain and update electronic and paper files, records, and databases, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
    Monitor and order office supplies
    Provide administrative support to Board and Senior Management Team.
    Assist with travel arrangement for Senior Management
    Minimal Reception duties
    Data entry

    For more than 20 years, Career Trek has been offering programs for children, youth, and adults in the areas of education and career development.

    Post-secondary education in administration or human resources is considered an asset.
    2 years of related administrative experience in a professional working environment.

    Proficient in using Microsoft Office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and office equipment (e.g., Experience using Payworks and a database software will be an asset.

    Maintain and update electronic and paper files, records, and databases, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
    Monitor and order office supplies
    Provide administrative support to Board and Senior Management Team.
    Assist with travel arrangement for Senior Management
    Minimal Reception duties
    Data entry
    Age: 18-30, 31-54, 55+

    Time Commitment:
    Daytime , Flexible Hours

    We are located in the Exchange District (35 King Street) and our staff work from the office on Mondays, Wed, & Thursdays and the rest from home.

    Our office hours are Mondays to Fridays, 8:30 a.m. A stable internet connection is required to work from home.


    Location of volunteer opportunity:
    Does opportunity require a child abuse registry check? Fulfilling volunteer hours for school credit
