    We are looking for a Technical specialist - Asset management in Ottawa

  • Integrated Asset and facilities management;
  • Operation and maintenance of buildings and equipment (including district heating and cooling);

  • Airport solutions: Operation and maintenance of terminal buildings equipment, Baggage Handling Systems, Passenger Boarding Bridges, Airfield lighting as well as other airport related systems & technologies.

    • Summary

    Manage the maintenance planning program. This includes planning and scheduling for planned, emergent and predictive maintenance activities, materials procurement, and contract/project management.

    Lead the implementation/management of the Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and support the commissioning team regarding the commissioning and acceptance of the integrated data points.

    Description

    He must have a thorough understanding large PLC based industrial controls of District Energy Systems with strong knowledge in Mechanical Systems, Electrical Systems, Instrumentation, smart building applications, various metering solutions and Process Controls.

    Responsibilities :

  • Plan and schedule outage and standard maintenance activities in coordination with stakeholders to optimize overall system production.
  • Negotiate, implement, and manage contracts and projects for services, major repairs, and life cycle activities.
  • Support the development and implementation of the CMMS and other digital tools used in the operations and maintenance of the business.
  • Deliver training on subjects related to the responsibilities of this position.
  • Lead the generation of the monthly and annual operation and maintenance key performance indicators report.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Work as part of the team to resolve emergency and regular technical and operational issues.
  • Coordinate activities between the CMMS, Energy Management Software and Building Automation teams.
  • Other duties as required.

    • Requirements

  • Authorized to work in Canada;
  • Technology Diploma or Engineering degree in a related field;
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant job experience in process control, smart building applications or a related field;
  • Strong knowledge in Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation systems, smart building applications, metering solutions and Process Controls;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to constructively achieve desired outcomes;
  • Self starter with a positive attitude and a commitment to excellence;
  • Good oral and written communications skills;
  • High level of proficiency in communication and integration protocols;
  • Experience using CMM systems for asset management;
  • Familiar with government and regulatory agencies;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to be a power user of other software applications;
  • Ability to work safely in an industrial setting to identify and eliminate/mitigate hazards;
  • Must be able to obtain Government of Canada Secret level security clearance;
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
