    We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, and a positive attitude. If you have excellent communication skills, are a problem solver, and well-organized this position is for you. Dispatchers are primarily responsible for coordinating the efforts of fleet vehicles to meet customer demands.

    • Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate fleet personnel to ensure proper allocation of human resources and equipment in order to maximize operational efficiencies.
  • Coordinate and oversee the routing and scheduling of daily trucking services
  • Compliance with time schedules and applicable laws, codes, rules and regulations.
  • Communicate regularly with the drivers to assist and manage implications caused by equipment problems, traffic, accidents and on site incidents
  • Ensures that schedules are carried out in an effective and efficient manner
  • Makes necessary adjustments for road closures and bans, weather, and mechanical/technical problems.
  • Works closely with sales and procurement staff to ensure adequate inventory of materials, admixtures, and value-added products are available for specific jobs
  • Communicates with the safety team and customer to exchange information, coordinate activities and resolve issues on site
  • Receives and responds to inquiries concerning routing, scheduling, and other trucking related questions.
  • Assists in the implementation of policy and process improvement.
  • Communicate with Shop personnel regarding repairs and preventative maintenance schedules
  • Use tracking and dispatch software to maximize cost efficiency while maintain a high level of customer service

    • Hours of Work:

    The hours for this position will vary and will require overtime. General working schedule will be Monday through Friday, with a saturday rotation.

    Qualifications:

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Experience as a Dispatcher or Logistics Coordinator
  • 2+ year's experience as a dispatcher in the transportation industry (Preferred)
  • College or University diploma or degree (preferred)
