    Description
    The Operations Controller will report to the Senior VP, Finance & Accounting of the Black Diamond Group. You will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing our company's operational processes and financial performance.

    You will work closely with the executive team to develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive efficiency, scalability, and profitability.

    The ideal candidate is a dynamic, caring people leader and technical expert, with 5+ years of post-designation experience, and at least 2 years in a manager or controller level role leading an accounting team.

    They will ideally have experience in one of the following industries:
    software/software as a service, hospitality, travel management or travel agencies, in a fast-paced, growing company.

    Experience in Oracle NetSuite (or similar cloud-based ERP system) is required, with preference on those with ERP implementation or post go-live experience.

    Manage all aspects of Business Unit financial results, financial budgeting, and forecasting.
    Monitor and analyze financial performance against key metrics and benchmarks.
    Implement cost control measures to optimize operational expenses.
    Prepare financial reports and presentations for executive leadership and stakeholders.
    Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track operational performance.
    Compliance and Risk Management
    Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
    Mitigate operational risks through effective risk management strategies.
    Oversee internal controls and audits to maintain integrity and transparency.
    Collaborate with various departments, including Finance, Commercial, Settlements and Engineering, to align operational objectives with overall business goals.
    Strategic Planning
    Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
    CPA designation with 5+ years post designation experience and 2+ years' experience leading a team (preferably in software, software as a service, hospitality, travel management or travel agency industry)
    Experience integrating online/point-of-sale systems with ERP systems considered an asset
    Fintech industry experience considered an asset
    Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and NetSuite or similar cloud-based ERP
    Previous experience with an ERP implementation or post-implementation integration is a strong asset
