    The Role

    The Carrier Relationship Manager handles contracts and negotiations with carriers, oversees rates, and ensures services meet the company's time, cost, and quality standards. This role will help to ensure smooth and reliable transportation of goods in a way that meets the organization's strategic objectives.

    Responsibilities

    • Foster and maintain strong relationships with carriers and external stakeholders.
    • Leads analysis in areas such as pricing/negotiating of contract bids, and areas/lanes of interest, in order to win customer business.
    • Build and strengthen carrier network through existing and new carrier relationships.
    • Establishes and leads carrier performance tracking and carrier review process improvements, to include regularly coordinating carrier quarterly reviews to hold carriers accountable.
    • Negotiate and manage contracts for transportation services, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
    • Handle and resolve customer service inquiries and complaints promptly and satisfactorily.
    • Monitor carrier performance and compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.
    • Utilize technology and systems to streamline processes and maximize operational efficiency.
    • Supports weekend requirements

    Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities

    • In-depth knowledge of the industry, including relevant trends and regulatory requirements.
    • Minimum 8 years of industry specific experience with logistics/carrier procurement preferred.
    • Leadership experience servicing customers, retailer compliance understanding, trailer pool management and international customs brokerage knowledge.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Strong carrier negotiation and procurement skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including persuasion and negotiation.
    • Familiarity with technology and systems used in logistics and transportation management.
    • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
    • Collaborative mindset and a strong sense of teamwork.
    • Commitment to professionalism and high ethical standards.
    • Proximity to the GTA required

    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

    Pay: $100,000.00-$130,000.00 per hour

    Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
