    About You

    You have excellent negotiation, influencing and conflict resolution skills as well as the ability to build consensus across multi-functional teams with varying mandates and responsibilities is a key requirement. You take strategic approaches towards business planning and cross-functional workflow management.

    The Team

    Nanometrics Seismic Monitoring Services (SMS) business unit has an opening for a highly qualified, experienced and motivated Business Operations Analyst to oversee the operational framework utilized by cross-functional teams to develop, sell and deliver mission-critical monitoring solutions and services. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with various corporate and business unit teams to introduce and manage light-weight processes, tools, partnerships and workflows. The incumbent will be required to gain an in-depth understanding of the Nanometrics corporate practices, service product lines and associated deliverables in order to create, maintain and evolve the operational framework in support of challenging business objectives . The ultimate goal of the role is to act as an enabler for the business unit teams to achieve their functional outcomes effectively.

    The Role

  • Own and coordinate all aspects of the SMS business unit Health & Safety (HSE) function including processes, online tools, training, external audits, documentation, contractor management and others.
  • Coordinate HSE system evolution and improvement initiatives; foster a strong HSE-centric culture across the organization; complete HSE audits.
  • Develop, implement and maintain contractor certification and ongoing management system to ensure consistent service delivery that meets strict performance metrics and HSE requirements.
  • Coordinate development, implementation and maintenance of workflow management systems across all SMS service product lines in concert with the corporate IT function.
  • Ensure operational functions are positioned to enable scalable growth, consistent customer experience/product quality and operational risk/costs management.
  • Own the commercial project bid-to-invoice lifecycle across all cross-functional teams.
  • Work across SMS functional teams to identify, track and drive improvements in all aspects of the bid-to-invoice lifecycle using periodic internal reviews, management and customer feedback.
  • Own the fixed asset tracking system and associated processes (audits, inventory controls) to streamline management and maximize utilization of loan pool assets.
  • Implement, track, analyze and report service metrics and KPIs for all SMS teams; provide management teams with timely and accurate performance data.
  • Own the business unit incident management system and drive the culture of continuous improvement via coordination of root cause analysis and effective incident resolution.
  • Oversee implementation of quality control/quality analysis systems in SMS operations; coordinate possible certification in collaboration with corporate teams.

    • What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an analytical discipline such as business, technical operations, engineering or related.
  • 5-10 years experience in services-oriented roles including project or product management, professional services delivery, technical customer support or similar.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to plan, organize and prioritize effectively and make sound, logical decisions.
  • Passion for customer service and building of effective workflows that enable cross-functional teams to achieve critical business objectives effectively.
  • Experience in working with JIRA and SalesForce.
  • Previous experience with new ERP system implementation in organizations with service-centric products is considered an asset.
