In return, we'll help you build a career that you can feel passionate about.As an Animal Surgery Technician for our Veterinary Care team in Laval , you will be responsible for the well-being of our laboratory animals.
Your contribution will ensure the health of our animals, as well as the integrity of our pre-clinical studies.Perform complex study specific surgeries in a wide variety of animal species
Perform training, coaching, and signing off on activities for more junior technicians prior to being assigned on a study
Work with managers to delegate projects, technical work, and administrative duties as appropriate
Provide leadership and counsel for the surgery team
College Diploma in Animal Health, Bioecology or any related Animal Science discipline
At least 5 years' experience in surgery (animal or human)
Comfortable to work with small and large animal
Understanding of written English is mandatory. Bilingualism French and English is preferable
Please note that upon being hired, you will have to undergo an annual tuberculosis test at the expense of the company.
