    Job Description
    The FNHA is recruiting for a Senior Policy Analyst to join our Policy, Planning and Quality team

    In this role, the Senior Policy Analyst will undertake policy development, analysis, planning, and research in areas aligned with the FNHA's Multi-Year Health Plan.

    This will include the development of reports, presentations, plans and other presentations and publications.

    The role will provide direct support to management and may be asked to undertake the oversight of project teams and budgets as appropriate.

    Effectively working across the Policy, Planning & Quality team, this role will take guidance and direction from various Directors and managers on different aspects of the position, and work to help initiate, maintain, and develop strong and effective working relationships with colleagues, First Nations communities, the First Nations Health Council and First Nations Health Directors Association, health service partners and organizations, and with federal, provincial and external health system partners and stakeholders.

    Key responsibilities will include:
    Policy Analysis
    Undertakes policy research, analysis and development in areas associated with the FNHA's mandate and Multi-Year Health Plan
    Assumes subject-matter responsibility for a specified portfolio area(s) in the FNHA's Multi-Year Health Plan
    Develops and implements relevant procedures and processes
    Provides policy advice to Executives, Senior Management, and others
    External Relations
    Supports regional and community planning and engagement activities and processes with First Nations, the FNHC, FNHDA, and other health system partners
    Prepares or oversees preparation of presentations, including the delivery of presentations to diverse audiences
    Leads or participates on internal, bilateral and/or tripartite committees and working groups
    Builds and maintains effective working relationships within the FNHA and with the FNHC, FNHDA, First Nations, tripartite partners, and others
    Management Support
    Supports the implementation of quality standards and appropriate processes in the work of the team
    Develops and oversees work plans, project plans, and budgets as required
    Qualifications
    University Degree in a related field such as health policy, public policy, health systems management, political or social science or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    Recent, relevant, and progressive experience in policy development and analysis (usually acquired over a period of 5-7 years)
    Experience in working with First Nations and First Nations health programs and services
    Experience in effectively leading and supervising a team of professionals
    Language
    ~ English.
