    Description

    Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Mise en Place for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces) while avoiding cross contamination
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary items
  • Ensure that all food items come out simultaneously, high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Prepare a variety menu items based on Glencoe standards and requirements
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Prepare Mise en Place for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces) while avoiding cross contamination

    • Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year culinary experience
  • A Journeyman Seal or working towards a Red Seal certification an asset
  • Have open availability morning, evening and weekend
  • Able to comprehend and follow verbal and written instruction
  • Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 50 pounds
  • Food Safe Certification and other required certifications

    • Additional Details:

    This is a full time position that reports to the Executive Chef. The successful candidate may be required to work a variety of shifts including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays, so a flexible schedule is required.

    The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check as well as Respect in the Workplace and Respect in Sport online certifications prior to commencing employment.
