    Description

    These technologies help the Extendicare Group ascertain the effectiveness of product and service campaigns and marketing programs, allow the Extendicare Group to customize the services offered on or through the Websites, and help determine the best use for website content, and product and service offerings.

    Some of this information, including the IP address, may be stored on the Extendicare Group's Internet service provider's server logs for extended periods of time.

    This is for our Extendicare Guildwood location at 60 Guildwood Parkway.
    Serves food to residents according to individual diets and preferences. Maintains foods at proper serving temperature.

    • Assists Cooks to clean and prepare such uncooked food as salads, vegetables, and fruits. Follow basic instructions in preparing such simple foods as breakfast items, basic desserts, and garnishes.
    • Participates in proper storage and labeling of dietary supplies and food, including leftovers.
    • Adheres to established departmental policies, procedures regarding quality assurance, fire, safety, environment, and infection control.
    • Stocks unit kitchenettes.
    • Participates in facility meetings as assigned. Successful completion and/or enrollment in a Food Service Worker Program meeting the requirements of the Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Act required. Previous dietary experience preferred in LTC (Long Term Care) Home 0-1 year(s).
    • Ability to read and write English as well as to understand simple verbal and written instructions in English.
    • Successful candidates must be available for workdays, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays
