    Description

    Job Title: Senior Accountant at Motorola Solutions

    About the Company: Motorola Solutions is a leading provider of mission-critical communication solutions and services for public safety and commercial customers. They are committed to creating a safer world through their innovative technology and solutions.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead monthly accounting close procedures including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting
    • Analyze financial information and provide recommendations for any issues
    • Complete subscription revenue-based journal entries such as deferred revenue
    • Act as the main contact for the Accounting team in other areas of the business
    • Establish and enforce strong financial controls
    • Perform US GAAP analysis for complex accounting issues
    • Calculate and submit commissions for payment
    • Review accounts payable transactions and monitor related monthly cash activity
    • Ability to export and organize large amounts of complex data to drive business decisions
    • Ad-hoc projects and analysis as required by the business

    Additional Skills:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce/Accounting and CPA
    • 3+ years of related accounting experience
    • Advanced Excel and Google knowledge
    • Previous experience in a growing subscription revenue business is an asset
    • US GAAP knowledge is an asset
    • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet multiple tight deadlines

    Compensation:

    • This role will have a projected annual base pay of $70,000 to $85,000 CAD per year

    Basic Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years in Accounting

    Travel Requirements: Under 10%

    Relocation Provided: None

    Position Type: Experienced
