  • This position works in a support capacity to assist with the flow of administrative and communication tasks at Community Justice Initiatives. Website updating, preparing documents, data entry and creating and editing promotional materials and presentations are all a part of this.

Duties:

  • Support and contribute to CJI's social media communications
  • Utilize zoho for coordination and execution of our social media posts
  • Answer the phone
  • Greeting visitors
  • Photocopying
  • Compiling resources and workshop materials
  • Editing and revising documents
  • Develop campaigns and posts to assist in elevating the work of CJI
  • Coordinate revisions and creation of new internal and external agency materials (brochures, posters, etc.)
  • Participate in relevant meetings
  • Support events and other outreaching efforts in collaboration with the Office Manager and the
Volunteer and Community Engagement Coordinator- Update the website and work with teams to ensure functionality, ease of design and regular updates

Skills and Competencies:

  • Understanding of social justice or a willingness to learn
  • Highly collaborative style
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Proficiency with technology and the ability to learn quickly the navigation of tools like zoho, sharepoint, MS office, digital content creation, video editing, social media and design tools like canva and mailchimp, are all assets
  • Attention to detail
  • A criminal reference check will be required, however, a criminal record may not necessarily preclude employment
  • Must have flexibility to work occasional evening or weekend hours
  • Hybrid work environment
