    Reporting to the Director,Applications and Integration, the Enterprise Systems Manager providesleadership and coaching to three application development and delivery teams andoversees NAIT's PeopleSoft Application Managed Services provider. Thesuccessful candidate plays a key role in aligning our application developmentand delivery teams to NAIT strategy and emergent business demands and achievingoperational effectiveness. Through coaching, talent management, stakeholderengagement, financial and vendor management, technical thought leadership, andchange leadership, you will be instrumental in helping NAIT to realize itsdigital ambitions. As a part of the ITS leadership team, you will be part ofcreating a workplace that staff love being part of that exemplifies NAIT'svalues of respect, accountability, collaboration, creativity, and celebration.

    KeyResponsibilities:

  • Create plans to identify needed skills and build leadership and technical talent
  • Manage staff recruitment, growth, retention, and performance
  • Align staff and financial resources to institutional priorities balancing operations and continuous improvement
  • Participate in project and product governance with business stakeholders
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders that position ITS as a strategic partner
  • Create financial budgets and manage and forecast spending
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate and execute the creation and renewal of contracts
  • Manage a mix of permanent, temporary, and contingent resources to align team capacity to demand
  • Keep current on relevant technological innovations and trends and lead teams towards continuous innovation and reduction of technical debt
  • Develop strategic goals and associated plans that will grow and align the team with the ITS strategic plan
  • Be an influential change leader, questioning long-held practices and processes, envisioning new possibilities, and inspiring technical and business stakeholders to partner in adopting new technology
  • Develop and standardize processes for agile development, change management, and system documentation
  • Manage critical incidents to ensure that the issue is being addressed effectively and stakeholders receive the communications they need
  • Work closely with IT Security and IT Compliance teams and advocate for strong security practices and create secure, trusted applications

    • Skills& Abilities:

  • Demonstrated experience leading a team and coaching other leaders
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent people leadership skills, including performance development, team building and succession planning
  • Ability to delegate and empower others
  • Expert knowledge of application development in a relevant application framework

    • Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in a related discipline.
  • At least ten years of progressively responsible related experience.

    • Applicants witheducation credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentialsevaluated by World Education Services or the International QualificationsAssessment Service (IQAS).

    Remuneration : $96, $127,657.66 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
