    Description

    Clinical Psychologist - Ontario Mental Health Lead

    The Ontario Mental Health Lead is a clinical psychologist who delivers psychological services (3-4 days/week) and has the additional role (one to two-day equivalency/week) for clinical leadership of the growing team of mental health professionals and mental health services in Ontario. The ON MH Lead will work with their provincial operations manager to implement standards, onboard new staff, monitoring quality and outcomes, and clinical mentoring and professional development of the MH MH Lead also collaborates with other regional psychologist clinical leads and the National mental health leadership team to support national mental health projects.

    As the ON Mental Health Lead, you will

  • Provide clinical leadership to a mental health team of psychologists, psychotherapists and social workers
  • Oversee new Mental Health clinicians' onboarding and mentorship
  • Develop/support professional growth and development plans for all team members
  • Provide support for clinical supervision and quality assurance
  • Collaborate with the mental health regional operations manager to address issues of access, productivity, efficiencies, and clinical outcomes
  • Collaborate with other regional clinical Mental Health leads and National Mental Health leadership on national mental health initiatives

    • As a clinical psychologist, you will

  • Conduct interdisciplinary rehabilitation assessments and mental health diagnostic assessments toidentify the rehabilitation treatment needs
  • Provide psychological treatments (individual and group psychotherapy) and withininterdisciplinary teams

    • Education and licensure

  • Ph.D. in Psychology (or master's degree in psychology) from an accredited university
  • Current registration in good standing with the College/Board of Psychologists of the province
  • Declared competency with the College of Psychologists in clinical psychology, adult population (asset: health/rehabilitation psychology, neuropsychology)
  • Supervised Practice psychologists are welcome to apply

    • Applied experience

  • Progressive experience in clinical leadership and team management
  • Conducting psychological assessments with adults, including diagnostic assessments using psychometric tests of psychopathology and personality.
  • Providing various evidence-based treatments grounded in cognitive-behavioral approaches (e.g., CBT, CPT, ACT)
  • Experience in measurement-based care
  • Working in interdisciplinary teams (e.g. occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychotherapists, vocational rehabilitation specialists)
  • Delivering telehealth and virtual care
