- Lead the GIS team to develop schedules, resource plans, and assignments to support GIS deliverables for capital projects.
- Oversee the execution of GIS services, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of GIS products and services.
- Monitor the performance and effectiveness of all GIS applications and databases.
- Develop and facilitate training and knowledge transfer opportunities to enhance user competence and support business processes.
- Present GIS processes to all end-user groups, ensuring alignment with client expectations and business needs.
- Coordinate GIS services with various business units including Network Connectivity, Engineering, and Asset Management to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Lead the assessment, cataloging, and utilization of spatial data to enhance business intelligence and decision-making processes.
- Provide leadership and direction, develop staff capabilities, and foster a team environment that encourages growth and excellence.
- A Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of GIS systems, processes, and applications, including ESRI and FME products.
- Proven experience in managing teams and projects, with excellent skills in mentoring and staff development.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Experience in strategic planning and execution within a GIS-focused role.
- Ability to work collaboratively across various departments and with external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python is an asset.
