    Assistant Professor (tenure-track), Psychology

    The Department of Psychology at St. Jerome's University, a public Roman Catholic university federated with the University of Waterloo, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing July 1, 2024 (subject to budgetary approval). All applicants must hold a PhD in Psychology and must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service.

    The successful candidate will have training, teaching, and research expertise in the area of Clinical/Counselling Psychology. The candidate is expected to be able to teach courses in Psychology such as Psychopathology and Introduction to Clinical Psychology and will have opportunity to develop new courses in their areas of expertise. The successful candidate may also be appointed to teach up to two courses per year in the Sexuality, Marriage, and Family Studies (SMF) program in subject areas such as family relationships, romantic relationships, sexualities, and/or sex and relational therapy. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong quantitative research skills and have an active and productive research program. They must also be committed to participating in university service.

    As of May 1, 2023, the base salary for an Assistant Professor is $86,160.
